Lovingly restored, renovated and rejuvenated, the Oxtail & Trotter butchers shop in Audlem continues over 150 years of butchery business in the village. Launched in July 2012 by Hugh & Kate Pocock, it was sympathetically transformed into a high quality, contemporary butchers.

In November 2016 the business was sold to Alan Cornes. Alan has vast experience in the butchery trade and is extremely excited to be taking on this new venture.

Alan started his butchery career when he was 15 years old – on a butcher's bike in Bramhall Road, Crewe, from here he moved onto working for A Broomhall & Son of Nantwich. Alan was promoted to the Shop manager of Broomhall's shop in West Street, Crewe working here for 25 years until he took on the ownership of this shop. Alan ran his own business from this shop for 12 years. After 37 years working on these premises, Alan has moved to Audlem to take on Oxtail & Trotter!

Living & working in Audlem, Alan is looking forward to working in the village and meeting all of the Oxtail & Trotter regulars and is hoping to bring some of his old customers to visit as well!
